My name is Stacey Ferguson and I am representing the city of Elk Grove as Mrs. Elk Grove in the Mrs. California United States Pageant. I am supported by my two favorite men; my husband, Craig, and my son, Zachary. Without their love and support I would not have made it this far! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I love you all the way to God's office and back!!!

My platform, Childhood and Adult Obesity with an emphasis on exercise and nutrition, is a true concern and alarming role that is affecting our country. My goal is to make our youth and fellow adults more aware of nutritious food choices and the value of exercise. I have recently participated in a 1/2 marathon and am a current lifetime and active member of Weight Watcher's. I am actively giving workshops and speaking at various schools in the Elk Grove Unified School District to promote good nutrition and exercise. I am also volunteering at my local school teaching P.E., implementing the SPARK program. It gives me great pleasure to be teaching such a sound and reputable program that promotes physical activity for young students that is fun and effective.

Please follow my blog for more information on upcoming events.

Davis Stampede Half Marathon

February 7, 2010
I walked the Davis Stampede Half Marathon sponsored by the Change of Pace Foundation. The Change of Pace Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Aside from producing community-oriented events such as the Davis Stampede, they are involved in after-school exercise programs that promote fitness amoung our community's youth.
